Google Finance

Still in its testing stage, Google Finance contains information on American stocks and companies. It includes financial data, latest news, sector and market summaries and a charting facility.


More study space in the Central Library

More study space has been created by opening up the Waterstones area in the Central Library. The area is open 24/7, and food and drink is allowed.

Business and Economic journals within JSTOR

The Library now subscribes to JSTOR Arts and Sciences II which contains a further 125 titles, a number of these covering business and economics. A list of these titles can be found here, and includes:

  • RAND Journal of Economics
  • Oxford Economic Papers
  • Brookings Papers on Economics Activity
  • Economica

Access to JSTOR is via IP address recognition on campus and through AthensDA off campus.


RefShare- a new tool within RefWorks

It is now possible to share your RefWorks database with others, more details can be found here. RefWorks is an online service which allows you to store references in your own personalised database and format your essay in the correct citation and referencing style. To find out more about RefWorks consult the Library web site or email businesslib@imperial.ac.uk


New E-Journals April


24/7 Library opening

From Monday 5th March until Friday 22nd June the Central Library is open 24 hours a day! Remember that from each Friday from 23.00 to Saturday at 09.30 the library is closed for essential maintenance.

Business key databases

The Business Key Database guide lists the databases and online resources most useful for Business research.

You will find resources listed by subject area, with a brief description of their content. The guide includes bibliographic databases which contain (abstracts and sometimes full-text of) scholarly articles as well as listing sources of economic and financial data. Subject areas include:

  • General business
  • Company and financial
  • Economics
  • Health Management
  • Market Research
  • Newspapers
  • Social Sciences
  • Statistics
