2011 Royal Society Winton Prize for Science Books
The Wavewatcher’s Companion by Gavin Pretor-Pinney was announced as the winner of this year’s £10,000 prize on 17 November 2011. Pretor-Pinney is the founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society, and took time out to explore and explain waves in an approachable way.
