For the first time the Central Library will continue to open 24 hours a day throughout the summer vacataion.
There are a few times when we will need to close, some of these have already been planned so click here for more details.
For the first time, the Central Library will be operating 24 hour opening throughout the Easter vacation period. There will be some variation in the times when staff are available at the Information Hub, see our opening hours page for details.
Arrangements at the campus libraries vary, see opening hours.
Short and Standard loans will be issued on request from Friday 16 March until Monday 30 April, providing there are still 4 copies available at Central and the campus libraries. If not, they will be issued for 1 and 3 weeks as usual.
Reserved items will be recalled for the due date shown on your record. A fine will be payable 2 days after this date.
Core texts will be issued from 08.30 on Wednesday 4 April until 11.00 on Wednesday 11 April. Please ask if you wish to reserve any core texts in advance.
The Central Library will be closed from 13.00 on Friday 23rd December 2011 for the Christmas vacation and will reopen at 08.30 on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.
Medical campus libraries will close at 17.00 on Friday 23rd December 2011 and reopen at their normal opening times on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

The Central Library will be closed for the whole of bank holiday weekend.
The building will shut at 20.00 on Friday 26 August and re-open at 08.30 on Tuesday 30 August.

We are pleased to announce an extension to opening hours in the Central Library this summer. From Saturday 2 July to Sunday 2 October the library will be open on Sundays between 11.00 – 19.00 for registered members holding either a College ID or library card. All Imperial libraries will be closed on Thursday 23 September 2010 for staff training.
To accomodate the set-up and organisation of the Summer Ball, Central Library will be closed from 4pm Saturday 19th June.
We will be reopening Sunday 20th June at 11am.
The Central Library will close on Thursday 1 April at 17.30, and reopen on Monday 5 April at 08.30. After this the Library will continue 24/6 opening until Friday 25 June. More information on our opening hours can be found on our website.
